Could not connect I was looking for a simple softphone software to make VOIP calls from the computer. I liked the way Voix looked: simple, clean, and elegant. Unfortunately, I could not connect with my VoIP account. I use PennyTel (www.pennytel.com) for my VoIP calls. They recommend X-lite softphone (from CounterPath). I did not like the way it looked + I did not need all the extra features it had. However, I ended up installing X-lite anyway since I could not get a connection with Voix.I tried to google for a solution and also checked voix FAQ's and forum pages. Still, ...

The latest version of Asterisk (IAX2 security) responds with this error: [2010-03-26 09:19:27] ERROR[3279] chan_iax2.c: Call rejected, CallToken Support required. If unexpected, resolve by placing address 192.168.20.100 in the calltokenoptional list or setting user 4001 requirecalltoken=noAnd Voix fails to register. The solution is at the PBX end to add \"requirecalltoken=yes\" to each extension or to add the line \"calltokenoptional = 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0\" to /etc/asterisk/iax_general_custom.conf. Full of crap The publisher claimed that this free trial demo is made by SIP Phone DLL SDK, which is totally misleading. Anyone who wants see how you can be fooled, just pay the publisher and wait to be cheated. They sell the SIP phone DLL SDK at $79 and $399 in different sites. Not difficult to find out by yourself. Be aware of this fraudulance publisher and billing company especially Regnow, they will not refund you if you pay through them even they know it is a fraud.

yet another okay softphone - configuring the VoIP provider was more complicated as for example with zoiper- had some crashes when coming back up from hibernation- obviously half the fun when used without der 3cx PBX

stable client with good functions I am using che 3CX Free VOIP Client in connection with Office 2003. So far no problems occured - I only wish to be able to look up the incomming calls in Outlook.All in all a very good solution.

Tried this on a few computers - very easy to install and use. Works reliably too. The multi-language feature is useful.Recommended.

The reason why I installed Zoiper was it\'s ability to send faxes. Very convenient, comparing to t38modem + eFax solution I tried to use before. But, sadly, both of them failed to establish a T.38 connection to Asterisk, though Zoiper was one step closer - in SDP debug log I could see, at least, T.38-related headers. But no idea, why it couldn\'t connect.Exact error is:ERROR[9809]: res_fax.c:696 generic_fax_exec: channel \'SIP/2379-00000016\' is in an unsupported T.38 negotiation state, cannot continue.Here 2379 is a peer where Zoiper is registered.

THE PROBLEM IS THAT I USING UBUNTU, THAT MEANS THAT A .EXE DOCMENT DONT WORK.IF YOU HAVE FUTHER INSTRUCTION TO USE ZOIPER IN ANY LINUX PLATFORM IT WIL BE WELKOM.GREETZ PAUL

This is a nice softphone that is functional but doesn't take up all the desktop. It had NO issues starting up and registering my line (tested with Phone.com). -Wess
